Vacation to Europe – 2009 Raffle Prize

5 countries, 7 cities, 16 days, 500 miles walked...

Our incredible journey through Europe began in a rainy Edinburgh, Scotland and ended in sunny Athens, Greece. In Edinburgh for just a weekend, we made the most of it by attending a rugby match, visiting the infamous castle and taking a day trip tour of the Highlands including a visit to Loch Ness.

Then we were off to Paris for a few days to meet up with our Trafalgar tour and the travel partners that would become our family for the next 10 days. We headed by motor coach through France to Switzerland and spent the day in the very quaint town of Lucerne. Then we were off to Italy for the remainder of the tour. We hit Venice, Florence, and ended the tour with a few days exploring Rome. We walked and walked and walked some more!

We had a fabulous time with everyone we traveled with, really lucked out with great weather and can’t say enough about traveling during the fall as there were no lines to speak of. We walked right in to the Vatican! After the tour Scott and I added 4 days to slow down, explore and spend Thanksgiving in Athens. Truly memorable!
