About PHGA

Statement of Purpose: The purpose of the Portland Highland Games Association is to foster and preserve traditional Scottish Highland culture and to sponsor the annual presentation of the Portland Highland Games.

For almost 60 years the association had depended on our members for support and help in organizing the Portland Highland Games each year. It is through our members that we maintain Scottish Highland traditions in the Northwest. As a member you receive complimentary admission tickets and your annual membership dues also help support our scholarship program.

The Portland Highland Games Association, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization. We welcome your donations and sponsorship.

Note that the Games is a competitive event in the Highland tradition and not a reenactment. Participant are professional and amateur athletes, musicians and dancers and working dogs committed to keeping the Games alive by sharing a piece of Scotland with the community.
