The Portland Highland Games Heavy Athletics Competition is a powerful and crowd-favorite showcase of strength, skill, and Scottish tradition. Taking place on June 6, 2026, at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Hillsboro, this exciting event features athletes from across the region competing in classic Highland heavy events.
Governed by the North American Scottish Games Athletic Association (NASGA), the competition includes a variety of divisions for men and women of all experience levels, from novice to masters competitors. Athletes will test their abilities in iconic feats of strength such as stone put, hammer throw, caber toss, and weight over bar, delivering an impressive display of athleticism and heritage.
