The Portland Highland Games Dance Competition is a vibrant and time-honored showcase of traditional Scottish Highland dancing, bringing together talented dancers of all ages and skill levels for a full day of spirited competition. Held on June 6, 2026, at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Hillsboro, the competition features a wide range of events—from Primary and Beginner levels to Premier dancers performing both Highland and National dances. Competitors will take the stage to perform classic dances such as the Highland Fling, Sword Dance, Seann Triubhas, and Scottish Lilt, all accompanied by live piping. Governed by the standards of the Royal Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing (RSOBHD) and ScotDance USA, the event highlights precision, athleticism, and cultural tradition. Spectators can enjoy an exciting display of skill and artistry while celebrating the rich heritage of Scottish dance in a lively and welcoming festival atmosphere.
